Chip01 wrote a post on DigitalPoint Forum, saying that he makes over $2500 a month with link building on his astore, let's take a look at how he does that, here is what he said:
Amazon.co.uk - Playstation 3 Store - Buy Cheap PS3 I wouldnt usually share this information but i have decided to stop promoting this astore due to amazons recent decision to cap video game products to £10($20). This will reduce my earning by more than half as i sell around 2 or 3 ps3s a day. If you check in google.co.uk I am in the 1st page for the following keywords ps3 ps3 console cheap ps3 console cheap ps3 ps3 console 40gb buy playtation 3 buy ps3 and the second for cheap playstation 3 ps3 4gb and so on Before you start you link building campaign it is wise to to do research on google trends and google keyword tool to estimate how much traffic you could expect to recieve on you astore. The next step would be to create a google adwords ad on your choosen keywords for a few days to see the likely revenue you would generate on your keywords per 100 visitors. Remember to use exact match for a reliable estimate. It would help considerably if you customised your astore template to match your products. I tried 3 different templates and this present one increased my sales by double as it looked similar to the amazon site. It did so well that amazon asked me to remove my original header because it "could confuse customers about the relationship between your store and Amazon" http://www.omozon.co.uk/platform_header_ps3e.jpg Make your astore as professional as possible and try not to stuff your page with to many keywords Including you main keywords into the Title of your page is very important for SEO. initialy targeted the keywords "buy ps3" Once i reached 1st page on these i started on "ps3" and the rest. Also it makes sense deep linking to products that sell well. Id recommending building a few links a day so you can see your rankings rise slowly. Remember not to only use your main keyword as your anchor text to your site as google could see this as an attempt to spam it, make it appear natural as possible. I pointed high pr pages to my main keyword and pr1 and pr2s to other keywords eg "cheap ps3 console 40gb", "ps3 consoles store". This will avoid you getting a penalty in google and make your links appear natural. It is also advisable to to place statcounter on your site to monitor your traffic You can see my visitor stats here but unfortuanatly there are no keyword stats as you are unable to place javascript on your astore. check my html code to see where and how to place a counter in the css. http://my.statcounter.com/project/st...674216&guest=1 I have started to remove links to this astore so it should start to loose rank in google. This is just one of many astores. Overall i make $10k a month with an investment of around 2k a month in buying links for all my astores. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. |
